Ozero Basiv Kut (Basiv Kut Lake)
Basiv Kut Lake is an artificial reservoir in the bed of the Ustia River in Rivne. It basically performs the function of a reservoir. The total area of the reservoir is 98 hectares. It has has a distinctive serpentine shape and extends from north to south. The name of the lake comes from the name of the settlement that was located here (the first mention of Basiv Kut dates back to 1429).

The surrounding territory offers scenic views of the lake. There are two sandy beaches on the shore, however regular annual water quality tests show that swimming here is dangerous. At the same time, one can enjoy the scenery by taking a boat trip or rent catamarans. The western shore of the lake is the location of the Basiv Kut settlement and the “Ostvytsia” Historical Re-enactment Park, where visitors can book a ride around the lake on an ancient boat. Fishermen love this reservoir, because all kinds of fish available in Rivne Oblast are found here.
