Description:

The Glory Monument is located on top of a hill, which leads to a wide two-sided alley, which, in its turn, turns into a ten-step staircase. A granite pylon/obelisk, which resembles a flag in shape, is the basis of the architectural and sculptural composition. At the foot of the obelisk one can see bronze figures of a partisan, a soldier and a girl nestling close to him on a low plinth. It is a symbol of liberation from the invaders of Rivne Oblast, a symbol of peace and life.

The sculptural group and the obelisk are located on the podium/tribune, which vertical plane is also meaningful: it hosts a multi-figure haut-relief sculpture on military leitmotifs. The plot composition of the haut-relief sculpture is conditionally divided into three parts: oath, attack, liberation. There is an inscription under the sculptural group saying “SLAVA HEROIAM 1941-1945” (“GLORY TO THE HEROES OF 1941-1945”).

Behind the monument there is also a section with an exhibition of military equipment, namely: ISU-152, SU-100, IS-3, 76-mm divisional gun, 122-mm and 203-mm howitzers.

It took 10 years to build the memorial, however, the project was not fully implemented. According to the initial design, there was supposed to be a museum with two halls under the sculpture, and there were supposed to be sculptures in front of the 103 steps on the alley.
