There is a church on the hillfort site. The site has oval shape with the sizes of 55×45 m (the total area is 0.15 ha); it rises above the river valley by 6-7 m, the perimeter is protected by a rampart, which is 2.0-2.5 m high (on the eastern field-facing side), and on the other sides the height of the rampart does not exceed 1.0-1.5 m. There was a moat dug in front of the rampart on the field-facing side, its current depth is 1.0-1.5 m, width – 8-10 m. The old entrance was probably arranged from the north-west, there is a gap in the rampart here. According to the materials found in the settlement nearby, the hillfort can be pre-dated to the 10th-11th centuries.

The settlement is located south-eastward of the hillfort, on the southern slope of the hill. The archaeologists collected the fragments of pottery and metal products of the 10th-13th centuries, as well as materials of the Bronze Age on the area of 200×60 m.
